Implementation of a control system for oil preparation and hydraulic system filling at Rolling Mill 1700 at Ilyich Iron and Steel Works of Mariupol

The project is a comprehensive initiative aimed at improving the lubrication processes and hydraulic equipment at the steel mill’s rolling line and includes the following key milestones:

Oil preparation station: Development and implementation of a control system for the oil preparation station, including filtration, heating, quality control, and an automated control system for oil level and supply to lubrication points on the 1700 rolling line equipment.

Hydraulics system: Development and implementation of the control system for the hydraulic systems of the LPC1700, including optimization of filling, pressure and control of hydraulic systems to ensure efficient operation of the equipment.

Automation and monitoring: Implementation of an automated control and monitoring system to effectively monitor all aspects of the lubrication and hydraulic processes, allowing operators to observe the systems in real time and detect and respond to any anomalies.

Staff training: Training for employees working with the new control system and equipment to ensure optimal utilization, efficient maintenance, and quick response to potential problems.

Integration with existing infrastructure: Planning and implementing the integration of the new system with existing infrastructure and processes.

As a result of the system implementation, the reliability, efficiency and safety of operations at LPC1700 were increased, the risks of equipment failures were reduced, and the overall productivity of the steel mill in the context of lubrication and hydraulics was improve.
